Work is starting on an essential project in Milton

Following the installation of approximately 3.5km of new water main between Butt Lane, Milton and the A10 at Landbeach, we will be carrying out final stages of the project, which will see the main put into service.

When is it happening?

The work will start on Monday 21 March for approximately three weeks.

Will traffic be affected?

To minimise the impact to traffic and local businesses located on Butt Lane, we will be carrying out the work overnight. Between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00, Butt Lane will be closed, with a diversion in place. Outside of these hours, temporary two-way traffic lights will be in operation, to safely navigate traffic through the works. Access to frontages will be maintained at all times.

Will this affect my water supply?

We aim to complete all work with as little disruption to you as possible. However, we may need to turn off your water supply for a short period of time. If we do need to shut off your supply, we will provide as much notice as possible.

Our investment programme

This scheme is part of our commitment to invest in new water mains, to reduce leakage by at least 15% and to ensure our customers continue to receive a reliable and high-quality water supply.
