Leadership change at Cambridge Water

Cambridge Water has today announced that Andy Willicott will shortly step down from his role as Managing Director to pursue external opportunities and will leave the business before the end of the year.

Cambridge Water logoWhilst a robust recruitment process is carried out to appoint a new Managing Director to lead the business forward, Charley Maher, Group CEO at parent company South Staffordshire Plc, will assume responsibilities and continue to support the existing leadership team with both current priorities and future plans.

In a joint statement, Charley Maher, Group CEO at South Staffordshire Plc and Lord Chris Smith, Chair of the Board at South Staffordshire Water said: β€œOn behalf of the Board, we would like to take this opportunity to thank Andy for his contributions to the business over the past four and a half years and to wish him all the best for the future. Our focus remains firmly on our overall performance and delivering a great service for our customers now and in the future.

"As we now look forward to the new business plan period (AMP) in the water sector (2025 – 2030), we remain both excited and optimistic about the opportunities that lie ahead, and look forward to working alongside our professional and trusted Cambridge Water team to deliver our ambitious plan.”
